Healthcare Human Factors is affiliated with the University of Toronto and York University and has the benefit of proximity to Canada’s largest teaching hospital, University Health Network. Our research initiatives aim to contribute to and disseminate knowledge in human factors in healthcare.

Students
Students from the undergraduate level to Masters and PhD trainees are supported by Healthcare Human Factors. Their academic backgrounds are diverse including: biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, computer science and psychology. The close integration of research students with HHFG staff is an important aspect of our culture and a valuable part of the student experience. Supervision is usually provided by experienced staff or co-supervision from staff with relevant appointments in other departments. Student research initiatives address many of the pressing issues facing healthcare.
We also host students at the high school, undergraduate and Masters levels who are pursuing professional development through internships or co-op placements.
