Hao Xin is a Human Factors Analyst with the Healthcare Human Factors Group at the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation. Before joining the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation, Hao designed and evaluated interfaces for software projects. She also worked on medical device design and prototyping for the treatment of herniated discs. Since joining the Healthcare Human Factors Group, she has worked on evaluating various medical devices for patient safety assessment.
Hao holds a MASc and a BASc from the University of Waterloo in Systems Design Engineering. Her thesis involved evaluating the perception of tactile feedback in laparoscopic surgery and its impact on intra-operative injuries.
