User Trials and Pilot Testing

Before accepting a final solution, user trials and pilot tests are used to validate in-lab findings and further refine systems to meet real world needs. Shadowing, in-context interviews and surveys conducted during a pilot can reveal important findings that may have been inaccessible in previous design or evaluation iterations.  These can be used to refine training, develop a broad implementation approach or redesign aspects of the solution to ensure maximum adoption and efficacy.
