Since co-founding Healthcare Human Factors in 2004, Anjum has worked to solidify human factors as a necessary precursor to successful healthcare innovation. Anjum’s interests relate to how behaviourally informed design can contribute to the triple aim – better health, better experiences and system sustainability. She is passionate about redefining notions of health and care, and re-imagining the role of the hospital in the face of ever changing social, technical and policy contexts. Anjum is a regular lecturer at the Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation at U. of T, and in the Master of Health Design program at OCAD university. She holds degrees in Systems Design and Biomedical Engineering from the Universities of Waterloo and Toronto, respectively.
