Wayne Ho

Wayne is Managing Director of Healthcare Human Factors. In the past 20 years he has focused on the interaction between people and technology as an Interaction Designer and Usability Specialist. He is passionate about improving the design of software, devices, and processes in healthcare. Wayne is an active researcher and designer for healthcare systems, devices, and software from radiotherapy systems to infusion pumps. He is also a member of the AAMI Human Factors Committee and IEC/ISO joint working group on usability of medical devices.

Wayne joined the team from IBM where he was the User Experience Lead for the family of IBM Rational Quality Management software solutions. In that role, he led a multi-disciplinary team of software developers, product managers, executives, and human factors professionals through a user-centered design process. He led the team to observe end-users in the field and used the data to create personae, scenarios, and storyboards. He was responsible for designing the user experience and for evaluating the designs by performing iterative usability studies.

Wayne holds a MEng in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto specializing in Human Factors and a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
