Where Should I Park My Canoe?

The anthropologist in healthcare and education research

Professional training in any field does much more than provide the necessary educational content and prepare an individual for practice. Our training can set the foundation for not only the questions that we ask, but also the questions that we believe can be asked. Drawing on a decade of experiences doing qualitative research in a variety of healthcare settings, this talk explores some of the benefits of including a social scientist’s perspective in healthcare and education research.
